Immerse yourself in a shopping wonderland. Abt Electronics is the largest independently owned, single-location retailer of electronics, appliances, and home goods in the country. Their flagship located just outside of Chicago features a vintage electronics museum, a life-sized plane suspended in flight inside a soaring atrium, a giant bubble machine, and several water features including a massive dancing fountain inspired by the one located in front of the Bellagio resort in Las Vegas.

However, one of Abt’s most well-known and loved attractions is their large aquarium. Located in the center of the electronics department, the 7,500 gallon tropical saltwater aquarium is home to a diverse collection of colorful and interesting animals including a banded hound shark and a green moray eel. The aquarium is not only beautiful, but it is also a truly interactive display. Informative digital panels surround the aquarium and touch screens provide guests with information on animal identification, natural history, and fun stories about the aquarium.
